STANDARD TERMS OF TRADE
BROAD DESIGN CO. is a brand, but behind the brand is a real life human (me) who’s compassionate, completely dedicated to exceptional customer service and her trade, and wants nothing more than for you to get your dream product that you can’t wait to get out into the world.
The creative process is a funny thing and – unlike analytical, step 1, step 2, step 3 processes – it takes time and a lot of trial and error to come to a complete, wholesome and final product. Each project is approached individually to reach an authentic, unique and appropriate outcome for your brand.
Due to the creative nature of the business I do not offer money back guarantees. What I do offer is multiple opportunities throughout the creative process for you to speak up and share your concerns. It is rare that a customer is completely happy with the first round of concepts and that the project is finalized and handed over without revisions. As awesome as those nailed-it-the-first-time projects are, it’s more common that something will need to be changed. That’s why I include project revisions in the project; these are stated in your project proposal and contract. You will have opportunities for revisions where I appreciate honest feedback – if you don’t like where it’s headed, think the font or color isn’t quite right or want to see it with a different pattern etc., speak up. I am a professional designer; you aren’t going to hurt my feelings.
Understanding that BROAD DESIGN CO. is creating an authentic experience for your brand and that the process may zig-and-zag before we come to a final, awesome outcome that you can’t wait to shout from the rooftops, will help us collaborate as compassionate adults.
I treat each project as a collaboration (which it is) because, although I may be the designer, it is your brand and your business and the ideas ultimately come from you. Sure, I provide the expertise and the skill to turn your idea into a visual product but we are working on this together. You’ll be required to complete questionnaires and workbooks and provide as much information on your desired outcome as possible, before the project commences. You’ll be required to provide feedback and meet milestones and payments on time for the project to run efficiently and to meet the deadline.
WEBSITE RELATED:
I primarily use wix.com as my website developer tool. The cost for Wix.com to host and maintain the security of your website will have a fee in addition to the website design/set up by BROAD DESIGN CO. You will be responsible to pay the fees each renewal period, and I will ask that you place your card on file for this. If this payment is not made, your website will be shut down and will not be live for viewers until this payment is made.
If you purchase domain names through BROAD DESIGN CO. these are yours for the duration of the period you have paid up until and are distributed by a third party company. If you purchase hosting through BROAD DESIGN CO., it will be valid for the duration of the period you have paid up until, at which point you can renew your hosting package or move your website to another hosting provider. Website migration may incur an additional fee.
